Greetings here at HOAW:AKHF!!

At the Sony Press Conference a few days ago, Sony's new handheld (known until then as the NGP, Next Generation Portable), the PS Vita, was formally introduced to the world, with hardware specifications and a price tag. In addition to that, a press email has been sent around by Sony containing a list of developers pledging support for the Vita. Of particular interest to us is the fact that Square-Enix is in the list.
Obviously this doesn't mean that a Kingdom Hearts game is in immediate development or even in the conceptual stages at this point, but it certainly is a fun idea to think about. If given some thought, the platform could accommodate the series quite well in a number of areas.
To begin with, the Vita has a very small but also very important piece of hardware that every handheld so far, including its competitor, the Nintendo 3DS, is lacking: a second analog stick. You would be surprised at how much of a difference this makes in designing effective and comfortable controls. In the past the series' director, Tetsuya Nomura, has expressed his concern in replicating the KH experience as accurately as possible in whatever platform his team works with; with its layout closer to a traditional Playstation controller, the Vita would be able to simulate the series' gameplay more accurately than any of its handheld predecessors.
Secondly, the system's technological capabilities would be of great interest to the series. While not a technologically demanding game series by any means, the system's potential would still have plenty to offer a Kingdom Hearts game. For one thing, the fans' complaints of empty overworlds with a scarce population of NPC's could easily be addressed, allowing for much more immersive and detailed environments.
Finally, SE has much experience working with Playstation hardware. This would make developing a game on the Vita a much easier and straightforward process, which would mean that the game would both probably be of relatively good quality and finished expediently.
As things stand now, a Kingdom Hearts on the Vita is merely an idea. But who can say for sure what the future holds? The so called Birth By Sleep V 2.0 may have very well found its home...
That's all for now so stay tuned!

Greetings here at HOAW:AKHF!!!!

Some recent news has just surfaced and caught my attention from KHInsider about getting PSP games remade and put onto the PS3. Check out the info below:
"The following logo could soon become very important to Kingdom Hearts fans who find themselves lacking a Playstation Portable and those that hop for a Final Mix release of Birth by Sleep in the west.
Detailed in a recent press release, Sony has announced the 'PlayStation Portable Remaster Series' whereby games originally released for the handheld will receive more than just a port to the home console, with Sony saying improved visuals with 3D support, Dual Shock 3 compatibility, and cross-console save files - meaning you can play the same game be it on the move with the PSP or at home with the PlayStation 3.
What does this bode for Birth by Sleep? The first title to be remastered is Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, one of the best-selling PSP games in Japan. Given the popularity of Birth by Sleep, and the opportunity to include even more content than was present in the Final Mix version, it seems hard to dismiss the likelihood of the game receiving the PSP Remaster treatment."
That's all for now, so stay tuned for more info. and stuff as it arises here on HOAW:AKHF!!

Greetings here at HOAW:AKHF!!!!
According to the recent issue from Dengeki Playstation, Tetsuya Nomura was asked about the Sony NGP and content for the playstation network. He replied that, while he currently could not discuss any possible titles for the NGP, he does want to put Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep on the PSN, making it available for download.
The main problem of course was that involving Disney and Utada Hikaru. For no specific reasons at this time these plans are left at a standstill until further notice. It should be also dually noted that Disney doesn't take kindly to having their products released digitially as downloadable content, and likewise a similar case with Utada. Another thing to mention is that they may have to apply for a new license to use her content for this release.
Update: There are some reports that say that Nomura states that Disney and Utada are not what are putting the game on hold, but that he has something else (he wouldn't specify) that he's working on first.

Greetings one and all. There is fantabulous news today!!!!! Ever since the final mix showed up on youtube, the Secret Episode showed Aqua fight a massive horde of heartless and even a deadly lion-like creature called 'Red Eye'.
Yet none of what that showed was more important than the trailer we have found near the end of the game. It shows clips from various points of KH 1, Blank Points, and it also shows various characters we know and love. the video is called "Zero Point", to which has already been uploaded as we speak onto Videos in the Media section.
It would seem our mystery game was in fact just that: a game itself!!!! Other people thought it was the BBS final mix as the other unannounced title or even a big presentation for 2012. Yet with this bit of news, that is now put to rest. But more importantly the running title for this game is going to be called 'Birth by Sleep - Volume 2'. That's all for now so stay tuned.
P.S. Also stay tuned for a new chapter on TPT volume 3.

It's January 20th! I think we all know what that means.

With the release of Kingom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, videos are flooding the internet. Two videos are relatively safe, so if you're interested in seeing the Japanese commercial and the launch trailer, just follow the links!
There's one other notable video that's already surfaced. Thanks to KH13, we have a subbed version of the new Secret Ending. This one won't be featured in the videos section, since it's spoiler-ridden. Watch at your own risk! I have to say it's... wow. Just watch for yourself. You'll be very happy you did. If you want to discuss this secret ending, visit our forums!
