Well here we are! KH 3D has been released in Japan! Ten years prior to that on March 28, 2002 we all were blessed with a brand new series of gaming that both shocked and intrigued most folks as this game slowly grew in popularity. Now ten years and 5 -6 consoles later, the latest release in the KH universe has already been underway. Let us hope we are able to enjoy this series for many, many, many years to come.

Some special news has turned up regarding the release dates of KH 3D in North America and Europe. According to KHDestiny after messaging Square Enix France, they were told the release date for Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] would be Summer 2012. Final Fantasy World then responded with "July 27th is a magnificent day." KHDestiny then informed us that SE France had listed July 27th as the release date on their shop site, but after questioning they changed the date to Summer 2012. So Summer 2012 seems to be true!

Regarding North America, EBGames has listed a July 1, 2012 release date on their website for the game! This could quite possibly be the release date in North America since it is a Sunday, the day when Nintendo console games are generally released. It could also just be a more up-to-date placeholder; who knows?

Kingdom Hearts series composer, Yoko Shimomura, will be accompanied by Takeharu Ishimoto who composed songs for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep and is famous for his work on Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, The World Ends With You, and Final Fantasy Type-0. Along with Shimomura and Ishimoto, Tsuyoshi Sekito will also be contributing to the soundtrack! Here is the cover below!

The official site for this soundtrack has also opened and the soundtrack will be released on April 18, 2012 for 3800 Yen or $49 USD in Japan. Note the website is below this sentence:

Some exciting news which has been learned is the actual release date for KH 3D in Japan to be March 29, 2012! In other news, James Patrick Stuart (best known for his voice over role as Braig/Xigbar) has confirmed his return to the series on hic Facebook account. See below:

Despite being nothing overly new, Nintendo of Japan have officially listed Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for release in Spring of 2012, along with a list of other 3DS games to come over the next year. In addition to this, the news of a release of two new 3DS colors has come forth: Misty Pink and Ice White, making a total of 5 3DS colors to choose from.
